ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Kristi and I believe that creativity saves the day. It allows us to find the alternate route, the side door… to open the gate on the cage and actually step the hell out of it. As an independent consultant with a focus on building relationships through storytelling, authenticity, and collaboration, I thrive on finding the golden thread of connection that helps others unlock opportunity in everything around them; be it a brand, experience or within their own hearts.

Over my decades-long career strategically positioning brands, directing and designing creative, producing large scale events, leading multi-disciplinary teams, launching entrepreneurial endeavors, and cultivating brand loyalty and presence through all channels, I’ve developed a gift for zeroing in on the soul and essence of a project to drive deep and lasting meaning. My curiosity led me to a leadership style that invited collaboration and helped others see and reach their big visions. It has allowed me to build strong communities and has organically expanded to include coaching teams and individuals to unlock unseen potential, wherever they are facing blocks.

The design process is a powerful tool to envision, create, iterate, and step into something that didn’t exist before while transformational techniques and practices allow us to get out of our own way. I love both sides of the coin and using them together allows me to provide a framework and safe space for deep exploration and rapid change. It’s an effective means to expand the approach to any challenge, including letting go of what stands in the way of achieving the epic life we often feel is out of reach.

Previously, I was the Creative Director for Studio Red, a division of international architecture and design firm, The Rockwell Group. Initially an innovation think-tank for Coca-Cola, I helped evolve Studio Red into an award winning branding firm. In this role, I got to collaborate and lead a team of designers, writers, strategists, and product designers on a wide range of lifestyle, hospitality and beauty projects that included clients such as Coca-Cola, Imagination Playground, Nobu Hotels, Covergirl, the Riviera and Cosmopolitan hotels and casinos.

Originally from Kansas, I embarked on my journey of adventure, exploration, reinvention, and creativity at RISD and Brown University, then onto Boston, NY, San Francisco, and recently landed in LA with my two kids, husband, and a brand new Weimaraner puppy that is neither calm, nor small. When I’m not working with adults, I’m helping tween girls develop into empowered, confident, self-aware, and authentic versions of themselves through coaching softball (don’t get me started on how sliding into base is a metaphor for life!) and offering kid art camps that invite collaboration and experimentation.
